How do I pay an invoice by check?

Learn how to pay an invoice by personal check, where to find mailing instructions, and what to do if the check option isn’t available.


If you prefer to pay by personal check to avoid processing fees, this option may be available depending on the payment settings selected by the business. Since each business determines which payment methods they accept, check payments will only appear if they have enabled that option on your invoice. If the option is not visible, you may need to coordinate directly with the business to discuss alternative arrangements.

Can I Send a Personal Check?

Check payments are only available if the business has enabled that option on your invoice.

To see if check payments are supported:

  • Open your invoice.

  • Click Pay Invoice.

  • Look for a Check payment option among the available methods.

  • If the check option is available, select it to view the mailing instructions.

If check payments have been enabled, the invoice will provide the necessary details for where and how to send your payment.

What If I Don’t See the Check Option?

If you do not see a check payment option, it means the business has not enabled that payment method through Maroo.

In this case, we recommend reaching out to the business directly to:

  • Confirm whether they accept personal checks

  • Request mailing instructions

  • Discuss alternative payment arrangements
