How Does the QR Code Work?
A QR (Quick Response) code is a scannable image that stores a URL.
When someone:
Opens their phone camera
Points it at the QR code
Taps the link that appears
They are instantly directed to your secure Maroo payment page.
From there, they can enter the payment amount (if applicable) and complete their transaction.
What Is It Connected To?
The QR code is linked to:
Your Maroo payment link
Your connected account
Your configured payment methods
Any payment made through this QR code is processed the same way as payments made directly through your payment link.
When Should I Use It?
The QR code is ideal for:
In-person transactions
Events or pop-ups
Quick payments
Clients who prefer scanning instead of clicking a link
Situations where you do not need to generate a formal invoice
Important to Know
The QR code on your Maroo dashboard can be shared with clients for one-off payments that do not require invoicing.
If you need itemized billing, due dates, or payment tracking tied to a specific invoice, you should create and send an invoice instead.
If you have questions about customizing your payment link, contact Maroo Support and we’ll be happy to help.
