I Want To Add A Team Member, But Their Email Is Linked to A Customer Account

If you’re trying to add a team member to your Maroo account but receive a message that the email address is already in use, it usually means that the email is currently associated with an existing customer account in Maroo.


Why this happens

In Maroo, each email address can only be associated with one account type at a time. If the email has already been used to create a customer account, it cannot be added as a team member until it’s released from that account.

What you can do

If the person you want to add as a team member previously interacted with Maroo as a client/customer, their email may already exist in the system.

To resolve this, our support team can help free up the email address so it can be used for your team member invitation.
