Inviting Team Members To Your Maroo Account

Learn how to invite team members to your Maroo account, assign the right roles, and control access levels so everyone on your team has exactly the permissions they need.

Team Management: How to Invite and Manage Team Members in Maroo

Maroo’s Team Management feature makes it easy to collaborate with your staff, partners, or accountants, all while keeping your account secure. You can invite users by email and assign specific roles based on what they need to access, from full administrative control to read-only viewing.

⚠️ Important Note:

Please take note that only the main email address on your Maroo account can receive payment and gratuity notifications.

Additional email addresses or team members will not receive these, so make sure the primary email is up to date to avoid missing any important updates regarding payments.

How to Invite a Team Member

To add someone to your Maroo account:

  • Log in to your Maroo dashboard

  • Go to Settings

  • Click Team Management

  • Click + Invite member

  • Enter their email address, then toggle the roles and permissions on or off to assign the level of access you’d like them to have, then click Send invitation.

📝 Once invited, the user will receive an email and will need to accept the invitation before they can log in.

Understanding Team Roles and Permissions

Maroo offers four different access levels so you can control exactly what each user can do.

📌 Admin

This role is best for business owners or primary account managers.

Full access to all features. Admins can:

  • Send invoices

  • Send payments

  • Invite and manage users

  • Modify all settings, including banking information

📌 Invoice Manager

This role is ideal for sales or billing teams.

Access focused on invoicing only. Invoice Managers can:

  • Send invoices

They cannot:

  • Modify bank accounts

  • Change account settings

📌 Payment Manager

This role works well for team members handling payouts only.

Access focused on contractor payments. Payment Managers can:

  • Send payments to contractors

They cannot:

  • Access invoicing

  • Modify settings or banking details

📌 View Only

This role is ideal for accountants or auditors who only need visibility.

Read-only access. View Only users can:

  • View all account data

They cannot:

  • Send invoices

  • Send payments

  • Modify any settings

ℹ️ Each team member receives an invitation email and must accept it before gaining access to your account.
