If you manage more than one Maroo account under the same company, it’s normal to notice differences in features, limits, or charges between them. Each Maroo account is billed and managed separately, even if they belong to the same business or organization.
This article explains how plans work across multiple accounts and how to check what plan each account is on.
Why your accounts may have different plans
Each Maroo account has its own subscription. This means:
One account can be on a different plan than another (even under the same company)
Features, limits, and fees can vary by account depending on the plan assigned
Billing does not combine across multiple accounts
For example, one account may include a monthly allowance for contractor payments, while another may have a customized or higher-tier plan with different terms.
How contractor payment limits and fees work
Some Maroo plans include a set number of contractor payments per billing period at no additional cost. Once that included limit is reached, additional contractor payments may incur a small per-transaction fee, depending on the plan.
In other plans, contractor payment limits may not apply, or may be structured differently based on a custom agreement.
Because of this, two accounts under the same company can still have different payment thresholds or fee structures.
Why you may see charges in one account but not another
Differences like the following are expected when accounts are on separate plans:
One account includes a monthly allowance for contractor payments; the other does not
One account charges per additional payment after a threshold; the other has custom pricing
Usage volume differs between accounts, leading to fees in one but not the other
⚠️ Important note: Each account’s billing reflects only its own plan and usage.
How to check the plan for each account
You can view the subscription details for any Maroo account by following these steps:
Go to Settings
Select Subscription & Billing
Review the current plan and included features for that specific account
Repeat these steps for each account you manage to compare plan differences.
💡Key takeaway
Even if multiple Maroo accounts are used by the same company, each account operates independently with its own subscription plan, billing structure, and usage limits. This is why fees and included allowances may differ from one account to another.
