At this time, partial payments on a single payment request are not supported in Maroo.
This means that when a payment request is sent to a client, the client must pay the full amount of that specific invoice. They cannot enter a custom amount or make a payment for only part of the balance.
What If My Client Wants to Pay in Installments?
If your client would prefer to spread their payments over time, you can achieve this by updating the invoice's payment schedule and dividing the remaining balance into multiple payments.
Rather than having one large payment due, you can create additional scheduled payments that allow the balance to be paid in installments.
How Payment Schedules Work
When you add additional payments to a payment schedule, Maroo will automatically divide the remaining balance equally among the scheduled payments.
โ ๏ธ Important note:
Payment amounts cannot currently be customized manually when adding payments to a schedule.
For example, if there is a remaining balance of $3,000 and you add two additional payments, the balance will be split evenly across the payment schedule.
How to Split the Remaining Balance into Multiple Payments
Go to the Invoices tab and select the invoice you would like to update.
(A panel will appear on the right-hand side)
Click Edit Invoice and select Payment Schedule.
Click Add Payment to create additional scheduled payments.
Review the updated payment schedule.
Click Save to apply your changes.
