Understanding Billing Cycles for Single Contractor Payments

Learn how monthly billing cycles affect single contractor payments, including when payments can be processed and why future scheduling may not be available.

If you’re seeing a paywall or unable to schedule a future single contractor payment, this is related to how billing cycles work on the Starter plan.

How Single Payments Work

Single contractor payments can only be processed within your current monthly billing cycle. At this time, future scheduling for single payments is not supported.

This means:

  • You can process single payments during your active billing cycle

  • Your billing cycle resets on the 1st day of each month

  • Once you’ve reached the limit for the current cycle, you’ll need to wait until the next billing cycle begins before submitting another single payment

Example

If you’ve already used your available single payments for May, you may see a paywall when trying to schedule another payment for June in advance.

In this case, you would need to wait until June 1 to process the payment.

Is This a New Update?

No — this is not a new change. This has been the existing behavior for single payments, including accounts on the Starter plan.

While advanced scheduling may have worked in certain situations previously, single payments are currently designed to be processed only during the active billing cycle.
