If you’re having trouble verifying your bank account, it may be due to mismatched business information or issues with the documents you submitted. This guide explains common causes and how to resolve them so you can receive payments smoothly.

Why Bank Verification Might Fail

Bank verification may not complete if:

  • The business name on your submitted document doesn’t exactly match the name registered on your Maroo or Stripe account.

  • Your legal entity type (like LLC) is missing or not included.

  • The routing number on your submitted check does not match the routing number on file with Stripe.

  • The submitted check image does not clearly show all required details.

Even small differences in business name or account information can prevent automatic verification and require manual review.

Steps to Resolve Verification Issues

1. Confirm Your Business Name

Make sure the name on the document you submit matches your account exactly. For example:

Registered Name: Weddings by Maroo LLC
Submitted Name: Weddings by Maroo

Including your LLC or other legal entity designation can be crucial for verification.

2. Check Your Document Details

If you’re submitting a check for verification:

  • Ensure the routing number on the check matches the one registered in your Stripe account.

  • Make sure the photo of the check is clear and shows all four corners and all relevant details.

Clear and accurate documentation helps Stripe review your submission faster and prevents delays.

3. Resubmit the Document

After confirming the information and ensuring the check is properly photographed, resubmit it through your account. This will allow Stripe to complete manual verification.

What Happens Next

Once your bank account is successfully verified:

  • You’ll be able to receive payouts directly to your bank account.

  • All pending and future payments will process smoothly.

  • You’ll get a confirmation notification once verification is complete.
