Maroo offers customers (both individual and business) to make outgoing payments to other businesses (freelancers, contractors, suppliers, and other service providers). If you are expecting to receive a payment on Maroo, here is what you need to expect.
You will receive an email from Maroo like in example below. Open that email, check all the details, make sure you recognize the person or business who sent you money and then click the "Review payment" button. If this is the first time you are using Maroo, that will take you to a signup page, where you will be prompted to create a free account in order to accept money on the platform.
Didn't receive an email notification? Check your spam or promotions folders. If you still don't see the email, please reach out to us via chat or customer support at [email protected] and let us know that you are missing the request.
Create a free Maroo business account. Currently we are required to collect business information when sending payments, but we are working on simplifying this process.
Verify your email - after the screen above you will be asked to verify your email. Click on "Verify email" in your inbox and you will be redirected to your Maroo dashboard.
Don't forget to fill out your legal business details and connect your bank account so that we know where to send the payment. You can do that from your account settings here
Go to your "Incoming" payments tab on your dashboard and look for the payment. Click the "Accept payment." Once you've clicked that button, Maroo will begin processing the payment to you.
