Getting Started With Templates

Templates in Maroo help you standardize and streamline your business documents. You can create templates for leads, contracts, quotes, invoices, and imports. This guide walks you through the process of creating a new template.

Accessing Templates

  • From the left sidebar, select Templates.

    The Templates page displays a list of existing templates with details such as name, type, creator, creation date, and status.

Creating a New Template

  • On the Templates page, click the + Create Template button on the right.

  • A dropdown menu will appear with available template types:

    • Lead form template: Collect client information and leads through customizable forms.

    • Contract template: Share ready-made agreements to confirm terms and commitments.

    • Quote template: Send clear price estimates to clients before starting work.

    • Invoice template: Add invoice items, split taxes, and offer discounts.

    • Import template: Import your existing templates.

Selecting a Template Type

  • Choose the template type that fits your need.

  • Each type is designed for a specific purpose:

    • Use Lead form templates to capture new client details.

    • Use Contract templates to formalize agreements.

    • Use Quote templates to provide pricing clarity.

    • Use Invoice templates to manage billing.

    • Use Import templates to bring in existing formats.

Saving and Managing Templates

  • After customizing your template, save it to make it available for future use.

  • Saved templates will appear in the list with the status SAVED.

Editing a template

You can revisit and edit templates as needed. Just click on your selected template and simply click Edit template.

📝 How you edit a template depends on the type of template you’re working with. Different templates have different structures and settings, so the steps to modify them may vary accordingly.
