What are the 1099-K reporting thresholds?
For the 2025 tax year, a 1099-K is generally issued only when both of the following conditions are met within the same calendar year:
More than $20,000 in gross payments processed, and
More than 200 transactions
If an account does not exceed both thresholds, a 1099-K is typically not generated.
Why might I not have received one?
If you did not receive a 1099-K, it is possible that the total payments processed during 2025 were below the IRS reporting thresholds, which means the form would not be issued.
Do I still need to report my income?
Yes. Even if a 1099-K is not issued, you may still be responsible for reporting any income earned through your transactions when filing your taxes. Tax obligations depend on your total income and filing requirements.
We recommend consulting a tax professional if you have questions about how to report your earnings.
